About
Raja Ampat is one of the world’s top destinations. It is located in West Papua, Indonesia (formerly known as Irian Jaya). This unique small archipelago lies near the city of Sorong, where we will arrive by air.
After landing at the local airport, we will travel by fast ferry (approximately 2 hours) to Waisai on Waigeo Island. About 20 minutes west of the harbour is the charming Raflow Resort, offering comfortable bungalows and excellent cuisine. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and private bathrooms. Meals are served buffet-style three times a day.
The surrounding area is home to many species of parrots, hornbills, birds-of-paradise, kingfishers, and other wildlife. The resort also features a private beach and a jetty with a coral reef located directly in front of the property.
From here, we will set out together on birdwatching excursions and speedboat trips to some of the most beautiful islands of Melanesia.
Itinerary
Day 1 β Arrival at the resort. Swimming, snorkeling, relaxation, and an afternoon birdwatching excursion in the surrounding area.
Day 2 β Morning excursion to observe birds-of-paradise and hornbills. Afternoon boat trip to Friven Island to enjoy the sunset.
Day 3 β Morning excursion to see Wilsonβs Birds-of-Paradise, cockatoos, and other bird species. Afternoon excursion to Bat Island to observe a colony of flying foxes and snorkel over beautiful coral shallows surrounding the island.
Day 4 β Full-day speedboat excursion to the famous Raja Ampat viewpoint at Piaynemo. Along the way we will visit the local village of Sawandarek and snorkel over spectacular coral reefs.
Day 5 β Drive to the town of Waisai, visit the local market, and continue to the village of Warsambin. From there we will travel by narrow canoe upriver into the rainforest to a magical jungle location known as the Blue River Spring.
Day 6 β Morning birdwatching excursion in the surrounding area. Afternoon at leisure for relaxation and free time.
Day 7 β Departure for Sorong. Accommodation at the Swiss-Belhotel Sorong, located near the airport. Farewell dinner together in the evening.
Day 8 β Departure flight from Sorong.

Discover the unique wildlife and natural beauty of North Sulawesi on this exclusive post-congress adventure. Itinerary
Day 1 β Arrival in Manado. Transfer from the airport to Bunaken Island by speedboat (approximately 20 minutes) directly to the 3Will Resort. Accommodation is provided in comfortable bungalows and rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms.
Meals are served buffet-style three times daily. The resort is located on the beach, and excellent snorkeling can be enjoyed on the coral reefs directly in front of the resort.
Bunaken National Park is the oldest marine national park in Indonesia. It is renowned for its extraordinary reef biodiversity and its exceptional abundance of sea turtles.
Day 2 β Boat excursion to observe dolphins and visit Manado Tua Island, known for its dominant volcano and traditional village.
Day 3 β Birdwatching in the mangroves and visit to a local village.
Day 4 β Transfer to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Excursion to observe hornbills, including the Knobbed Hornbill (Rhyticeros cassidix).
Day 5 β Jungle excursion to observe birds, endemic crested macaques, cuscus marsupials, and other wildlife. Afternoon at nearby beaches for swimming and relaxation.
Day 6 β Birdwatching excursion in the mangroves.
Day 7 β Return to Manado. Final night at the Lion Hotel. Farewell dinner together in the evening.
Day 8 β Departure flight home.
